This reminds me of the story of Joseph. He was praised by his father but his brothers hated him and were jealous. Sold him into slavery. But Joseph never stopped being his authentic self. If you're not being your authentic self, then you will have to compromise your integrity. It's a choice. If you want to keep your corporate job you will have to become a bot. For example, if you're told to lie to customers then you better do what you're told and lie. If you think you can be inauthentic at work and authentic around family and friends, good luck because it's not as easy as turning on a light switch. You will lose yourself in being inauthentic and will no longer know your authentic self. Women will be criticized in the corporate world for how they dress, whether frumpy or stylish. I'm not sure who Robert Greene's intended audience is. Is he talking to new college graduates? Women? He's telling people not to have a backbone and put up with unethical workplace policies? Standing up is often viewed as a-hole behavior. I've done it and sacrificed myself at the corporate altar, and I would do the same all over again. At the end of the day, I'm the one who has to live with myself, not my jealous corporate boss.

I remember when I was a kid watching The Hills and the lady that was interning them pretty much coached the white girl with blonde hair, (not Heidi but I can’t remember her name) on how to curse someone out at work. Woman had moved in, think they didn't like the colour of my skin but she kept gossiping to people id none for year's , with being ill i ended up having a break down , i felt like ther was nothing i could do was to shout at her frm my flat, negative nd evil hate is all a got frm them plus jealousy . I got on my knees nd prayed to the lord for help nd i asked if he could soften my heart. It doesn't make sense. You can be lesser and not be chosen for the best spot. You can be better and become a component. It doesn't matter. You really just need to be your true self to find the right places and people who appreciate you the way you authentically are- who appreciate the greatness in others. You need to be yourself to find that. The ones that don't like you are not meant to be in your life. Secure people never fight or make adjustments for people and positions that don't appreciate them. They dont obsessed over them. They look somewhere else. They are confident in their abilities. The point of this video is only for ones that are prefer to stay in the same place. They will have to be lesser or adjust themselves to not outshine the master if they choose to stay or only have that option due to thier limiting beliefs. If I'm a boss, I can never be jealous of my workers who are more talented and more skilled. I understand how much I benefit from them if they are in my team. I'm paying them for it. Jealous bosses or masters will get thier karma if they don't manage thier jealousy. Jealousy can lower thier the qaulity of workers and income. Jealous means there's a need for inner work in your ego. Let them lose you because they are jealous of you. Let them lose income because of it.
